A LinkedIn WordPress group that isn't full of crap

I am a member of several WordPress groups on LinkedIn, however am so pissed off with 90% of the content in those groups. Despite groups named WordPress Experts and WordPress Developers (in which they don’t even correctly write WordPress, yes the P is supposed to be capitalised!) they are full of posts asking completely pointless and noddy questions. Whilst new users need help there are plenty of great places they can get help. The WordPress support forums and IRC are the two best places. A so called “Professional” group just isn’t the place.

With this is mind I decided this morning to create a new LinkedIn group specifically for WordPress Professionals. The idea is to create a place where the professionals who use WordPress on a daily basis to make their income can get help from their peers and share interesting articles. It might not work and in which case I’ll leave it up for a few months and if I don’t get any interest it will disappear. If it something you think you might like to get involved with come and check it out.

I will be heavily moderating this group, if you post links to crappy articles they will go, if you post asking which theme to use for whatever it will be gone, if you simply reply to questions offering your services guess what, your gone. The LinkedIn WordPress groups are already full of enough of this shit, time for a change.
