Everything Everywhere - Orange/T-Mobile Unite
Last year it was announced that Orange and T-mobile would be merging to create the largest mobile network provider. This of course didn’t mean anything in real terms to consumers and nothing has really happened on the surface. But behind the scenes the two companies have been busy, Everything Everywhere is the new company leading the charge for the Pink and Orange combo and in the last couple of months announced network sharing schemes for all Orange and T-Mobile customers.
Essentially it means whichever of the two networks you are on you can roam to the other for free taking advantage of more cell sites and hopefully improving signal! It is currently on for 2G connections although we are promised 3G next year.
Business users are automatically signed up for the service. Consumers need to register, I did this last night took a couple of mins.
T-Mobile users should visit the share site and Orange customers have a similar site.
